[717] Which phenomena (dhammā) are both taints (āsava) and associated with taints?
The taint of sensual desire (kāmāsava) is both a taint and associated with a taint through the taint of ignorance (avijjāsava); the taint of ignorance is both a taint and associated with a taint through the taint of sensual desire.
The taint of existence (bhavāsava) is both a taint and associated with a taint through the taint of ignorance; the taint of ignorance is both a taint and associated with a taint through the taint of existence.
The taint of views (diṭṭhāsava) is both a taint and associated with a taint through the taint of ignorance; the taint of ignorance is both a taint and associated with a taint through the taint of views.
