[734] Which phenomena (dhammā) are both fetters (saññojana) and associated with fetters (saññojana-sampayutta)?
The fetter of sensual lust (kāmarāga-saññojana) is both a fetter and associated with a fetter through the fetter of ignorance (avijjā-saññojana); the fetter of ignorance is both a fetter and associated with a fetter through the fetter of sensual lust.
The fetter of repulsion (paṭigha-saññojana) is both a fetter and associated with a fetter through the fetter of ignorance; the fetter of ignorance is both a fetter and associated with a fetter through the fetter of repulsion.
The fetter of conceit (māna-saññojana) is both a fetter and associated with a fetter through the fetter of ignorance; the fetter of ignorance is both a fetter and associated with a fetter through the fetter of conceit.
The fetter of view (diṭṭhi-saññojana) is both a fetter and associated with a fetter through the fetter of ignorance; the fetter of ignorance is both a fetter and associated with a fetter through the fetter of view.
