[735] Which phenomena (dhammā) are dissociated from fetters but subject to fetters (saññojanavippayuttā saññojaniyā)?
Those phenomena which are dissociated from those phenomena [the fetters] — phenomena accompanied by taints (sāsava), wholesome, unwholesome, and indeterminate, pertaining to the sense sphere, the form sphere, or the formless sphere: the aggregate of form (rūpakkhandha) … the aggregate of consciousness (viññāṇakkhandha) — these phenomena are dissociated from fetters but subject to fetters.
Which phenomena are dissociated from fetters and not subject to fetters (asaññojaniyā)?
The paths not included [in the three spheres] (apariyāpanna), and the fruitions of the paths, and the unconditioned element (asaṅkhatā dhātu) — these phenomena are dissociated from fetters and not subject to fetters.
