[809] Which phenomena (dhammā) are dissociated from defilements (kilesa) but subject to defilement (saṅkilesika)?
Those phenomena that are dissociated (vippayutta) from those phenomena [the defilements]: wholesome and indeterminate (abyākata) phenomena accompanied by taints (sāsava), pertaining to the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the form sphere (rūpāvacara), or the formless sphere (arūpāvacara) — the aggregate of form (rūpakkhandha) … the aggregate of consciousness (viññāṇakkhandha) — these phenomena are dissociated from defilements but subject to defilement.

The paths (magga) not included [in the three planes] (apariyāpanna), the fruitions (phala) of the paths, and the unconditioned element (asaṅkhatā dhātu) — these phenomena are dissociated from defilements and not subject to defilement.
