[966] Which phenomena (dhammā) are both defilements (kilesa) and subject to defilement (saṅkilesika)?

Which phenomena are subject to defilement but not defilements?
Setting aside the defilements, the remaining unwholesome (akusala); the wholesome (kusala) in the three planes (bhūmi); the resultant (vipāka) in the three planes; the functional indeterminate (kiriyābyākata) in the three planes; and all form (rūpa) — these phenomena are subject to defilement but not defilements.
Phenomena not subject to defilement (asaṅkilesika) should not be said to be either 'both defilements and subject to defilement' or 'subject to defilement but not defilements.'
