[520] Sakavādin: Is there non-knowledge (aññāṇa) in the Arahant?
Paravādin: Yes.
Sakavādin: But was it not said by the Blessed One: "Bhikkhus, at the time when there arises for the noble disciple (ariyasāvaka) the dust-free, stainless eye of the Dhamma (dhammacakkhu) — 'Whatever is subject to origination, all that is subject to cessation' — together with the arising of vision (dassana), bhikkhus, three fetters (saṃyojana) are abandoned for the noble disciple: personality-view (sakkāyadiṭṭhi), doubt (vicikicchā), and adherence to rules and rituals (sīlabbataparāmāsa)"? Does such a discourse (suttanta) indeed exist?
Paravādin: Yes.
Sakavādin: Then indeed it should not be said that "there is non-knowledge in the Arahant."
