[1013] For whom, and where, the truth of suffering (dukkhasacca) does not arise, will the truth of origin (samudayasacca) not cease for that one there?
For those passing away from the four-constituent (catuvokāra) and the five-constituent (pañcavokāra) [existence]; in the course of existence (pavatta), at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of the mind (citta); and in the immaterial [plane] (arūpa), at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of the path (magga) and of fruition (phala) — for them, there, the truth of suffering does not arise, yet it is not the case that, for them, there, the truth of origin will not cease. At the moment of dissolution of the highest path (aggamagga); for Arahants (arahanta), at the moment of dissolution of the mind; for those who, in immediate succession to a [given] mind, will obtain the highest path — at the moment of dissolution of that mind; in the immaterial [plane], at the moment of arising of the path and of fruition; and for those passing away from the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) — for them, there, the truth of suffering does not arise, and the truth of origin will not cease.
Or, on the other hand: for whom, and where, the truth of origin will not cease, does the truth of suffering not arise for that one there?
At the moment of arising of the highest path; for Arahants, at the moment of arising of the mind; for those who, in immediate succession to a [given] mind, will obtain the highest path — at the moment of arising of that mind; and for those being reborn among the non-percipient beings — for them, there, the truth of origin will not cease, yet it is not the case that, for them, there, the truth of suffering does not arise. At the moment of dissolution of the highest path; for Arahants, at the moment of dissolution of the mind; for those who, in immediate succession to a [given] mind, will obtain the highest path — at the moment of dissolution of that mind; in the immaterial [plane], at the moment of arising of the path and of fruition; and for those passing away from the non-percipient beings — for them, there, the truth of origin will not cease, and the truth of suffering does not arise.
