[903] For whomever, wherever, the truth of suffering (dukkhasacca) does not arise, will the truth of the path (maggasacca) not arise for that one there?
For those who will obtain the supreme path (aggamagga) immediately following a given mind (citta), at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of that mind; and for those others who will obtain the path, as they are passing away; at the moment of dissolution of mind in the course of existence (pavatta); in the formless plane (arūpa), at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of the path and of the fruition (phala) — for them there the truth of suffering does not arise, but it is not the case that the truth of the path will not arise for them there. At the moment of dissolution of the supreme path; for Arahants, at the moment of dissolution of mind; and for those worldlings (puthujjanā) who will not obtain the path, as they are passing away; at the moment of dissolution of mind in the course of existence; in the formless plane, at the moment of arising of the path and of the fruition; for those passing away from the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) — for them there the truth of suffering does not arise and the truth of the path will not arise.
Or else, for whomever, wherever, the truth of the path will not arise, does the truth of suffering not arise for that one there?
At the moment of arising of the supreme path; for Arahants, at the moment of arising of mind; and for those worldlings who will not obtain the path, as they are being reborn; at the moment of arising of mind in the course of existence; for those being reborn among the non-percipient beings — for them there the truth of the path will not arise, but it is not the case that the truth of suffering does not arise for them there. At the moment of dissolution of the supreme path; for Arahants, at the moment of dissolution of mind; and for those worldlings who will not obtain the path, as they are passing away; at the moment of dissolution of mind in the course of existence; in the formless plane, at the moment of arising of the path and of the fruition; for those passing away from the non-percipient beings — for them there the truth of the path will not arise and the truth of suffering does not arise.
