[963] For whom the truth of suffering (dukkhasacca) does not cease, will the truth of origin (samudayasacca) not cease for him?
For all beings who are being reborn, and at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of mind (citta) in the course of existence (pavatta), and, in the immaterial plane (arūpa), at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of the path (magga) and of fruition (phala) — for these the truth of suffering does not cease, but it is not the case that the truth of origin will not cease for them. At the moment of arising of the highest path (aggamagga), at the moment of arising of the mind of Arahants, and at the moment of arising of that mind in immediate succession to which they will attain the highest path, and, in the immaterial plane, at the moment of dissolution of the path and of fruition — for these the truth of suffering does not cease and the truth of origin will not cease.
Or else, for whom the truth of origin will not cease, does the truth of suffering not cease for him?
At the moment of dissolution of the highest path, at the moment of dissolution of the mind of Arahants, and at the moment of dissolution of that mind in immediate succession to which they will attain the highest path — for these the truth of origin will not cease, but it is not the case that the truth of suffering does not cease for them. At the moment of arising of the highest path, at the moment of arising of the mind of Arahants, and at the moment of arising of that mind in immediate succession to which they will attain the highest path, and, in the immaterial plane, at the moment of dissolution of the path and of fruition — for these the truth of origin will not cease and the truth of suffering does not cease.
