[1060] For whomever the bodily formation (kāya-saṅkhāra) will arise, will the verbal formation (vacī-saṅkhāra) arise for that one?
Yes.
Or, for whomever the verbal formation will arise, will the bodily formation arise for that one?
For those of the sense sphere (kāmāvacara) immediately after whose mind (citta) the final mind (pacchimacitta) will arise; for those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the form sphere (rūpāvacara) or in the formless sphere (arūpāvacara); and for those who, having been reborn into the form sphere or the formless sphere, will attain final Nibbāna — for these as they are passing away — the verbal formation will arise, but the bodily formation will not arise for them. For the others, both the verbal formation will arise and the bodily formation will arise.
