Suddhasaṅkhāravāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 1059

[1059] For whomever, wherever, the verbal formation (vacīsaṅkhāra) has not arisen, has the mental formation (cittasaṅkhāra) not arisen for that one there? For those who have attained the second jhāna, the third jhāna, or the fourth jhāna, and for those of the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa) while the second mind (citta) is occurring — for them, there, the verbal formation has not arisen, but it is not the case that, for them, there, the mental formation has not arisen. For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes and for the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) — for them, there, the verbal formation has not arisen, and the mental formation has not arisen. Or, for whomever, wherever, the mental formation has not arisen, has the verbal formation not arisen for that one there? Yes (āmantā). ___________
