[1113] For whomever, wherever, the bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra) has never arisen, will the verbal formation (vacīsaṅkhāra) not arise for that one there?
For beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara): for them there the bodily formation has never arisen, but it is not the case that for them there the verbal formation will not arise. In the form sphere and in the formless sphere — at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of the final mind (pacchimacitta) accompanied by thought (vitakka) and examination (vicāra); for those endowed with the final mind without thought and examination; for those immediately after whose mind the final mind without thought and examination will arise; for those who have attained the fourth jhāna; and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā): for them there the bodily formation has never arisen and the verbal formation will not arise.
Or else, for whomever, wherever, the verbal formation will not arise, has the bodily formation never arisen for that one there?
For those in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara) endowed with the final mind, and for those who have attained the second jhāna or the third jhāna: for them there the verbal formation will not arise, but it is not the case that for them there the bodily formation has never arisen. In the form sphere and in the formless sphere — at the moment of dissolution of the final mind accompanied by thought and examination; for those endowed with the final mind without thought and examination; for those immediately after whose mind the final mind without thought and examination will arise; for those who have attained the fourth jhāna; and for non-percipient beings: for them there the verbal formation will not arise and the bodily formation has never arisen.
