Suddhasaṅkhāravāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 1058

[1058] For whomever, wherever, the bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra) did not arise, did the mental formation (cittasaṅkhāra) not arise for that one there? For those who have attained the fourth jhāna (catutthajjhāna), for those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara), and for those of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara): for them, there, the bodily formation did not arise, but it is not the case that the mental formation did not arise for them there. For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa) and for the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta): for them, there, both the bodily formation did not arise and the mental formation did not arise. Or, for whomever, wherever, the mental formation did not arise, did the bodily formation not arise for that one there? Yes (āmantā).
