[1064] For whomever, wherever, the bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra) will arise, will the verbal formation (vacīsaṅkhāra) arise for that one there?
For those who have attained the second jhāna or the third jhāna: for them, there, the bodily formation will arise, but the verbal formation will not arise for them there. For those who have attained the first jhāna and for beings of the sense sphere (kāmāvacara): for them, there, both the bodily formation will arise and the verbal formation will arise.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the verbal formation will arise, will the bodily formation arise for that one there?
For those beings of the sense sphere for whom the final mind (pacchimacitta) will arise in immediate succession to whichever mind (citta), and for beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara): for them, there, the verbal formation will arise, but the bodily formation will not arise for them there. For those who have attained the first jhāna and for the other beings of the sense sphere: for them, there, both the verbal formation will arise and the bodily formation will arise.
