Suddhasaṅkhāravāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 1065

[1065] "For whomever, wherever, bodily formation (kāya-saṅkhāra) will arise, will mental formation (citta-saṅkhāra) arise for that one there?" "Yes." "Or rather, for whomever, wherever, mental formation will arise, will bodily formation arise for that one there?" "For those of the sense sphere (kāmāvacara) immediately after whose mind the final mind (pacchima-citta) will arise, for those who have attained the fourth jhāna, and for those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara) — for them, there, mental formation will arise, but bodily formation will not arise for them there. For those who have attained the first jhāna, the second jhāna, or the third jhāna, and for the others of the sense sphere — for them, there, both mental formation will arise and bodily formation will arise."
