Suddhasaṅkhāravāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 1108

[1108] For whomever, wherever, verbal formation (vacīsaṅkhāra) arose, will mental formation (cittasaṅkhāra) arise for that one there? For those possessed of the final mind (pacchimacitta) in the plane with thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra-bhūmi), verbal formation arose for them there, but mental formation will not arise for them there. For the others in the plane with thought-conception and discursive thought, verbal formation arose for them there and mental formation will arise for them there. Or: for whomever, wherever, mental formation will arise, did verbal formation arise for that one there? For those in the plane without thought-conception and discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra-bhūmi), mental formation will arise for them there, but verbal formation did not arise for them there. For those in the plane with thought-conception and discursive thought, mental formation will arise for them there and verbal formation arose for them there.
