[1191] For one for whom the verbal formation (vacīsaṅkhāra) will arise, will the mental formation (cittasaṅkhāra) cease?
Yes.
Or else, for one for whom the mental formation will cease, will the verbal formation arise?
At the moment of the arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of the final mind (pacchimacitta), and for those immediately after whose mind (citta) a final mind without thought and examination (avitakka-avicāra) will arise — for these, the mental formation will cease, but the verbal formation will not arise for them; for the others, the mental formation will cease and the verbal formation will arise.
