[1200] For whomever, wherever, the bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra) will not arise, will the verbal formation (vacīsaṅkhāra) not cease for that one there?
For sense-sphere beings (kāmāvacara) at the moment of arising of the final mind (pacchimacitta), for those immediately after whose mind the final mind of sense-sphere beings will arise, for form-sphere beings (rūpāvacara), and for formless-sphere beings (arūpāvacara): for them, there, the bodily formation will not arise, but it is not the case that for them, there, the verbal formation will not cease. At the moment of dissolution of the final mind accompanied by thought and examination (savitakka-savicāra), for those endowed with a final mind without thought and without examination, for those immediately after whose mind a final mind without thought and without examination will arise, for those who have attained the fourth jhāna, and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā): for them, there, the bodily formation will not arise, and the verbal formation will not cease.
Or, for whomever, wherever, the verbal formation will not cease, will the bodily formation not arise for that one there?
For those who have attained the second jhāna or the third jhāna: for them, there, the verbal formation will not cease, but it is not the case that for them, there, the bodily formation will not arise. At the moment of dissolution of the final mind accompanied by thought and examination, for those endowed with a final mind without thought and without examination, for those immediately after whose mind a final mind without thought and without examination will arise, for those who have attained the fourth jhāna, and for non-percipient beings: for them, there, the verbal formation will not cease, and the bodily formation will not arise.
