[1201] For whomever, wherever, the bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra) will not arise, will the mental formation (cittasaṅkhāra) of that one not cease there?
For those of the sense sphere (kāmāvacara) at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of the final mind (pacchimacitta), and during that mind immediately after which the final mind of those of the sense sphere will arise; for those who have attained the fourth jhāna (catutthajjhāna); for those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara); and for those of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara) — for them, there, the bodily formation will not arise, but it is not the case that for them, there, the mental formation will not cease. At the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of the final mind, and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) — for them, there, the bodily formation will not arise and the mental formation will not cease.
Or again, for whomever, wherever, the mental formation … ?
Yes.
