[1229] In whom the latent tendency of sensual lust (kāmarāgānusaya), the latent tendency of repulsion (paṭighānusaya), and the latent tendency of conceit (mānānusaya) lie latent, does the latent tendency of view (diṭṭhānusaya) … the latent tendency of doubt (vicikicchānusaya) lie latent in that person?
In two persons the latent tendency of sensual lust, the latent tendency of repulsion, and the latent tendency of conceit lie latent, but the latent tendency of doubt does not lie latent in them. In the ordinary person (puthujjana) the latent tendency of sensual lust, the latent tendency of repulsion, and the latent tendency of conceit lie latent, and the latent tendency of doubt lies latent.
Or, in whom the latent tendency of doubt lies latent, do the latent tendency of sensual lust, the latent tendency of repulsion, and the latent tendency of conceit lie latent in that person?
