Whoever is endowed with the latent tendency of sensual lust, is he endowed with the latent tendency of views (diṭṭhānusaya) … with the latent tendency of doubt (vicikicchānusaya)?
Two persons are endowed with the latent tendency of sensual lust but not endowed with the latent tendency of doubt; the worldling (puthujjana) is endowed both with the latent tendency of sensual lust and with the latent tendency of doubt.
Or rather, whoever is endowed with the latent tendency of doubt, is he endowed with the latent tendency of sensual lust?
