[1363] One who abandons the latent tendency of sensual lust (kāmarāgānusaya), the latent tendency of repulsion (paṭighānusaya), the latent tendency of conceit (mānānusaya), the latent tendency of view (diṭṭhānusaya), and the latent tendency of doubt (vicikicchānusaya) — does he abandon the latent tendency of lust for existence (bhavarāgānusaya) … the latent tendency of ignorance (avijjānusaya)?
There is none.
Or rather, one who abandons the latent tendency of ignorance — does he abandon the latent tendency of sensual lust, the latent tendency of repulsion, the latent tendency of conceit, the latent tendency of view, and the latent tendency of doubt?
He abandons the latent tendency of conceit.
