[1476] Does one who does not fully understand the latent tendency to repulsion (paṭighānusaya) from a given place not fully understand the latent tendency to conceit (mānānusaya) from that place?
The person endowed with the highest path (aggamagga), with respect to the two feelings (vedanā) in the sense-sphere element (kāmadhātu), and with respect to the form element (rūpadhātu) and the formless element (arūpadhātu): that person does not fully understand the latent tendency to repulsion from there, but it is not the case that that person does not fully understand the latent tendency to conceit from there. That same person, with respect to painful feeling (dukkhā vedanā) and with respect to the unincluded (apariyāpanna): that person does not fully understand the latent tendency to repulsion from there and does not fully understand the latent tendency to conceit. Except for the two persons endowed with the paths, the remaining persons do not fully understand the latent tendency to repulsion and do not fully understand the latent tendency to conceit in all places.
Or rather, does one who does not fully understand the latent tendency to conceit from a given place not fully understand the latent tendency to repulsion from that place?
