Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 317

[317] For whomever and wherever the eye base (cakkhāyatana) arises, does the ear base (sotāyatana) arise for that one there? For those with the eye but without the ear who are being reborn, the eye base arises for them there, but the ear base does not arise for them there. For those with the eye and with the ear who are being reborn, both the eye base arises for them there and the ear base arises. Or, for whomever and wherever the ear base arises, does the eye base arise for that one there? For those with the ear but without the eye who are being reborn, the ear base arises for them there, but the eye base does not arise for them there. For those with the ear and with the eye who are being reborn, both the ear base arises for them there and the eye base arises. (Abridged; exactly the same as the "for whom" [yassa] section.)
