[395] For whom the nose base (ghānāyatana) will not arise, will the form base (rūpāyatana) not arise for him?
Those who, having been reborn in the form sphere (rūpāvacara), will attain final Nibbāna—for them the nose base will not arise, but it is not the case that the form base will not arise for them. For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika), and for those who, having been reborn in the formless (arūpa), will attain final Nibbāna—for them both the nose base will not arise and the form base will not arise.
Or rather, for whom the form base will not arise, will the nose base not arise for him?
