[394] For whom the eye sense base (cakkhāyatana) will not arise, will the mind sense base (manāyatana) … will the dhamma sense base (dhammāyatana) not arise for him?
Those who, having been reborn in the formless [realm] (arūpa), will attain final Nibbāna (parinibbāyissanti): for them the eye sense base will not arise, but it is not the case that the dhamma sense base will not arise for them. For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika), both the eye sense base will not arise and the dhamma sense base will not arise.
Or: for whom the dhamma sense base will not arise, will the eye sense base not arise for him?
Yes (āmantā).
