Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 404

[404] For whomever, wherever, the eye sense base (cakkhāyatana) will not arise, will the dhamma sense base (dhammāyatana) not arise for that one there? For non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) and formless beings (arūpā), the eye sense base will not arise for them there, yet it is not the case that the dhamma sense base will not arise for them there. For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavikā), both the eye sense base will not arise and the dhamma sense base will not arise for them there. Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the dhamma sense base will not arise, will the eye sense base not arise for that one there? Yes (āmantā).
