[729] For whomever the eye base (cakkhāyatana) will not arise, will the mind base (manāyatana) … the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) of that one not cease?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn, and for those who, having been reborn in the formless [realm] (arūpa), will attain final Nibbāna — for them the eye base will not arise, but it is not the case that for them the dhamma base will not cease. For those who are attaining final Nibbāna — for them both the eye base will not arise and the dhamma base will not cease.
Or rather, for whomever the dhamma base … ?
