[770] "For whomever the eye base (cakkhāyatana) does not arise, will the mind base (manāyatana) … the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) not cease for that one?"
"For all those who are passing away, and for those without the eye who are being reborn — for them the eye base does not arise, yet it is not the case that the dhamma base will not cease for them. For those who are attaining final Nibbāna — for them the eye base does not arise, and the dhamma base will not cease."
"Or, for whomever the dhamma base … ?"
"Yes."
