[447] For whomever the eye base (cakkhāyatana) arises, will the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) arise for that one?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra), the eye base arises for them, but the dhamma base will not arise for them. For the others who are being reborn with eyes, the eye base arises for them and the dhamma base will arise.
Or rather, for whomever the dhamma base will arise, does the eye base arise for that one?
For all who are passing away and for those who are being reborn without eyes, the dhamma base will arise for them, but the eye base does not arise for them. For those who are being reborn with eyes, the dhamma base will arise for them and the eye base arises.
