Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 459

[459] For whomever, wherever, the eye base (cakkhāyatanaṃ) arises, will the dhamma base (dhammāyatanaṃ) arise for that one there? For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra), for them the eye base arises there, but the dhamma base will not arise for them there. For the others, possessed of eyes, who are being reborn, for them there both the eye base arises and the dhamma base will arise. Or, for whomever, wherever, the dhamma base will arise, does the eye base arise for that one there? For all who are passing away, and for those without eyes who are being reborn, for them the dhamma base will arise there, but the eye base does not arise for them there. For those possessed of eyes who are being reborn, for them there both the dhamma base will arise and the eye base arises.
