Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 421

[421] For whomever, wherever, the eye base (cakkhāyatana) arises, had the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) arisen for that one there? For those being reborn in the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa), the eye base arises for them there, but the dhamma base had not arisen for them there. For the others being reborn with eyes, the eye base arises for them there and the dhamma base had arisen. Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the dhamma base had arisen, does the eye base arise for that one there? For all those passing away and for those being reborn without eyes, the dhamma base had arisen for them there, but the eye base does not arise for them there. For those being reborn with eyes, the dhamma base had arisen for them there and the eye base arises.
