[460] For whomever, wherever, the nose sense base (ghānāyatana) arises, will the form sense base (rūpāyatana) arise for that one there?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), for them there the nose sense base arises, but for them there the form sense base will not arise. For the others who are being reborn possessing a nose (saghānaka), for them there the nose sense base arises and the form sense base will arise.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the form sense base will arise, does the nose sense base arise for that one there?
For those passing away from the sense sphere, for those lacking a nose (aghānaka) who are being reborn into the sense sphere, and for those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara), for them there the form sense base will arise, but for them there the nose sense base does not arise. For those who are being reborn possessing a nose, for them there the form sense base will arise and the nose sense base arises.
