Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 496

[496] For whomever in whatever place the eye base (cakkhāyatana) has arisen, will the ear base (sotāyatana) arise for that one in that place? For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the five-constituent [plane] (pañcavokāra), the eye base has arisen for them in that place, but the ear base will not arise for them in that place. For the other beings of the five-constituent [plane], both the eye base has arisen for them in that place and the ear base will arise. Or else, for whomever in whatever place the ear base will arise, has the eye base arisen for that one in that place? Yes (āmantā).
