[566] For whom the nose base (ghānāyatana) will not cease, for him the form base (rūpāyatana) will not cease?
For beings in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are arising in the form sphere (rūpāvacara), and for those who, having arisen in the form sphere, will attain final Nibbāna (parinibbāna) and are passing away — the nose base of these will not cease, but it is not the case that the form base of these will not cease. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra), for beings in their final existence in the formless (arūpa), and for those who, having arisen in the formless, will attain final Nibbāna and are passing away — the nose base of these will not cease, and the form base will not cease.
Or else, for whom the form base will not cease, for him the nose base will not cease?
