[567] For whomever the nose sense base (ghānāyatana) will not cease, will the mind sense base (manāyatana) … the dhamma sense base (dhammāyatana) not cease for that one?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the form sphere (rūpāvacara) or the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), and for those who, having been reborn into the form sphere or the formless sphere, will attain final Nibbāna — for these, as they are passing away, the nose sense base will not cease, but it is not the case that the dhamma sense base will not cease for them; for these, as they are attaining final Nibbāna, both the nose sense base will not cease and the dhamma sense base will not cease.
Or rather, for whomever the dhamma sense base will not cease, will the nose sense base not cease for that one?
