[670] For whomever, wherever, the form base (rūpāyatana) has ceased, will the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) cease for that one there?
For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra), the form base has ceased for them there, but the dhamma base will not cease for them there. For the others—the five-constituent beings and the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā)—the form base has ceased for them there, and the dhamma base will cease.
Or, for whomever, wherever, the dhamma base will cease, has the form base ceased for that one there?
For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa) and for the formless beings (arūpā), the dhamma base will cease for them there, but the form base has not ceased for them there. For the others—the five-constituent beings and the non-percipient beings—the dhamma base will cease for them there, and the form base has ceased.
