[671] For whomever, wherever, the mind base (manāyatana) has ceased, will the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) cease for that one there?
For those who are attaining final Nibbāna, for them there the mind base has ceased, but for them there the dhamma base will not cease. For the others—those with four aggregates (catuvokāra) and those with five aggregates (pañcavokāra)—for them there both the mind base has ceased and the dhamma base will cease.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the dhamma base will cease, has the mind base ceased for that one there?
For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa) and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), for them there the dhamma base will cease, but for them there the mind base has not ceased. For the others—those with four aggregates and those with five aggregates—for them there both the dhamma base will cease and the mind base has ceased.
