Uppādanirodhavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 709

[709] For whomever the eye base (cakkhāyatana) will arise, will the form base (rūpāyatana) cease for that one? Yes. Or rather, for whomever the form base will cease, will the eye base arise for that one? For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra), and for those who, having been reborn into the formless (arūpa), will attain final Nibbāna — for these, while they are being reborn, the form base will cease, but the eye base will not arise for them; for the others, the form base will cease and the eye base will also arise.
