[749] For whomever the eye base (cakkhāyatana) arises, will the form base (rūpāyatana) cease for him?
Yes.
Or, for whomever the form base will cease, does the eye base arise for him?
For all who are passing away, and for those without eye who are being reborn, the form base will cease, but the eye base does not arise for them. For those with eye who are being reborn, both the form base will cease and the eye base arises.
