[750] "For whomever the eye base (cakkhāyatana) arises, will the mind base (manāyatana) cease for that one?"
"Yes."
"Or rather, for whomever the mind base will cease, does the eye base arise for that one?"
"For all who are passing away, and for the eyeless who are being reborn — for these the mind base will cease, but it is not the case that the eye base arises for them. For those possessed of eyes who are being reborn — for these both the mind base will cease and the eye base arises."
