Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 697

[697] For whom the eye base (cakkhāyatana) does not arise, does the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) not cease for that one? For all those who are passing away, the eye base does not arise for them, but it is not the case that the dhamma base does not cease for them. For those without eye who are being reborn, for them the eye base does not arise and the dhamma base does not cease. Or else, for whom the dhamma base does not cease, does the eye base not arise for that one? For those with eye who are being reborn, the dhamma base does not cease for them, but it is not the case that the eye base does not arise for them. For those without eye who are being reborn, for them the dhamma base does not cease and the eye base does not arise.
