[538] For whom the eye base (cakkhāyatana) does not cease, does the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) not cease for that one?
For the eyeless who are passing away, their eye base does not cease, but it is not the case that their dhamma base does not cease. For all who are being reborn, both their eye base does not cease and their dhamma base does not cease.
Or rather, for whom the dhamma base does not cease, does the eye base not cease for that one?
