[772] "For whom the nose base (ghānāyatana) does not arise, for him the mind base (manāyatana) … will the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) not cease?"
For all who are passing away, and for those without a nose who are being reborn — for them the nose base does not arise, yet it is not the case that for them the dhamma base will not cease. For those attaining final Nibbāna — for them the nose base does not arise, and the dhamma base will not cease.
"Or rather, for whom the dhamma base … ?"
"Yes."
