[783] For whomever, wherever, the nose sense base (ghānāyatana) does not arise, will the dhamma sense base (dhammāyatana) not cease for that one there?
For all who are passing away, and for those without the nose who are being reborn — for them, there, the nose sense base does not arise, but it is not the case that the dhamma sense base will not cease for them there. For those who are attaining final Nibbāna — for them, there, the nose sense base does not arise, and the dhamma sense base will not cease.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the dhamma sense base will not cease, does the nose sense base not arise for that one there?
Yes (āmantā).
