[879] For whomever the truth of origin (samudaya-sacca) arises, has the truth of the path (magga-sacca) arisen for that one?
For those who have not penetrated [the truths] (anabhisametāvī), at the moment of the arising (uppāda-kkhaṇa) of craving (taṇhā), the truth of origin arises for them, but the truth of the path has not arisen for them. For those who have penetrated [the truths] (abhisametāvī), at the moment of the arising of craving, both the truth of origin arises for them and the truth of the path has arisen.
Or else, for whomever the truth of the path has arisen, does the truth of origin arise for that one?
For those who have penetrated [the truths], at the moment of the dissolution (bhaṅga-kkhaṇa) of craving, while a mind (citta) dissociated from craving is occurring, and for those who have attained cessation (nirodha-samāpanna), the truth of the path has arisen for them, but the truth of origin does not arise for them. For those who have penetrated [the truths], at the moment of the arising of craving, both the truth of the path has arisen for them and the truth of origin arises.
