[893] For whomever the truth of origin (samudayasacca) arises, will the truth of the path (maggasacca) arise for that one?
For those ordinary persons (puthujjana) who will not attain the path, at the moment of the arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of craving (taṇhā) the truth of origin arises for them, but the truth of the path will not arise for them. For those who will attain the path, at the moment of the arising of craving the truth of origin arises for them and the truth of the path will arise.
Or rather, for whomever the truth of the path will arise, does the truth of origin arise for that one?
For those who will attain the highest path (aggamagga) immediately after a given mind (citta) — at the moment of the arising of that mind; and for those others who will attain the path — at the moment of the dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of craving; while a mind dissociated (vippayutta) from craving is occurring; for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna); and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) — for these the truth of the path will arise, but the truth of origin does not arise for them. For those who will attain the path, at the moment of the arising of craving the truth of the path will arise for them and the truth of origin arises.
