[944] For whomever the truth of origin (samudayasacca) ceases, has the truth of the path (maggasacca) ceased for that one?
For those who have not comprehended [the truths] (anabhisametāvī), at the moment of the dissolution of craving (taṇhā), the truth of origin ceases for them, but the truth of the path has not ceased for them. For those who have comprehended (abhisametāvī), at the moment of the dissolution of craving, both the truth of origin ceases for them and the truth of the path has ceased.
Or, for whomever the truth of the path has ceased, does the truth of origin cease for that one?
For those who have comprehended, at the moment of the arising of craving, when a mind (citta) dissociated from craving is occurring, and for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna), the truth of the path has ceased for them, but the truth of origin does not cease for them. For those who have comprehended, at the moment of the dissolution of craving, both the truth of the path has ceased for them and the truth of origin ceases.
