[955] For whomever, wherever, the truth of origin (samudayasacca) does not cease, has the truth of the path (maggasacca) not ceased for that one there?
For those who have comprehended [the truths] (abhisametāvī), at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of craving (taṇhā) and while a mind (citta) dissociated from craving is occurring, the truth of origin does not cease for them there, but it is not the case that the truth of the path has not ceased for them there. For beings of the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa) while the second mind is occurring, for those who have not comprehended [the truths] at the moment of arising of craving and while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring, and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) — for them there the truth of origin does not cease, and the truth of the path has not ceased.
Or, for whomever, wherever, the truth of the path has not ceased, does the truth of origin not cease for that one there?
For those who have not comprehended [the truths], at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of craving, the truth of the path has not ceased for them there, but it is not the case that the truth of origin does not cease for them there. For beings of the Pure Abodes while the second mind is occurring, for those who have not comprehended [the truths] at the moment of arising of craving and while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring, and for non-percipient beings — for them there the truth of the path has not ceased, and the truth of origin does not cease.
