[956] For whomever the truth of suffering (dukkhasacca) ceases, will the truth of origin (samudayasacca) cease for him?
At the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of the supreme path (aggamagga), for Arahants at the moment of dissolution of mind (citta), and at the moment of dissolution of that mind immediately after which they will obtain the supreme path — for these the truth of suffering ceases, but the truth of origin will not cease for them. For the others, when they are dying and at the moment of dissolution of mind in the course of existence (pavatta) — for these the truth of suffering ceases, and the truth of origin will cease.
Or, for whomever the truth of origin will cease, does the truth of suffering cease for him?
For all, when they are being reborn, at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of mind in the course of existence, and, in the immaterial realm (arūpa), at the moment of dissolution of the path (magga) and of fruition (phala) — for these the truth of origin will cease, but the truth of suffering does not cease for them. For all, when they are dying and at the moment of dissolution of mind in the course of existence — for these the truth of origin will cease, and the truth of suffering ceases.
